wellllllll id get a blank circuit board and bust out the solder and soldering gun nad get to work lol it kinda depends if i went with colored leds or white and left the colored lenses in my tailights. but either way id be cutting 1/3-2/3 off the back of hte taillight off to retrofit the circuit borad withte leds that i would put on it. id solder them all in parallel and then tie them into the tailight harness. (brakes, blinker, reverse). my only concern if i did that would be if the difference in dimmness between tails and brake woud still be evident.

ya ive heard that if you get rearended wand have tinted tails that your screwed. it says right on the can of niteshades "FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY" and then i think it also says to check local laws to see if it may be legal in your area(aka the 99.9% chance says its illegal but they wana make ytou look stupid anyways when you ask someone at a police station or like the DOT). mine are reaaaaallly dark.... im still wating to get pulled over for them before i wetsand them to hopefully remove some of what i put on and let a lil more light through

I was wondering how mant coats of nightshade people are putting on their lights and still getting good light through them.

I have the LED taillights with red lens. They are much brighter than stock tails.

I currently have 2 coats on and it is drying. Not sure if i should do a 3rd or not. I would love to see night time shots of 2 and 3 coats. They look ok now but in a garage. May look a lot less dark when outside.

So my VHT came out nice and dark, but its not as glossy as I would want. i wetsanded inbetween each coat of VHT (2coats) and between each coat of clear (3 coats). To get them glossier should I just continue to put more coats of clear on or what? What do you think the best way is?

more coats will make it kinda cloudy. i'd get some finishing compound, like a finishing glaze, and go to town on em...

your actually not supposed to sand inbetween clear coats...says so in that guys walkthrough on the first page...just spray and let dry

EDIT: my bad...i read the write up on the first page, and the guy was doing it wrong, you are supposed to wet sand inbetween clear coats...im dumb haha

Yeah, just layer the clear and go at it with the sander. You have to get out all the imperfections. Just cuz it feels smooth doesnt mean it is. You need to look at an angle, if you see those pits from the clear, it needs to be sanded more

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.
