I have a 98 GT and the tint on the car looks awful. On the driver's window there is a crease about 8 inched long that has cracked and flaked off. The rear window has a lot of waviness in it and it's hard to see through. You can see it in the rear view mirror...

Also, there is waviness in the two rear windows, so replacing the tint is a must. Will a heat gun / blow dryer work? I tried to peel it off, but it comes off in tine flakes.

I just got the car so i have ni idea what type of tint it is or how long it has been on the car.

    Thanks for the help,
    Ian

Elbow Grease... I suggest you contact your local parts stores and see if you can get some

I'm afraid that with a razor blade I will f*ck up the rear defroster wires in the window.

Pull an edge up and spray goo gone or nail polish in there and keep spraying as you peel. Its what I do.and the tint comes off on one shot

Polished Gen V, 3.1 mps, intercooled, S1X cam, northstar tb, and Tim King built trans with 3.29s and all the good stuff

I've never tried it but you can watch a video on Youtube, use a clothes steamer. Looks/hears like it works awesome with little mess left behind. Don't quote me on it though.
