the hard part is finding the wire color for the starter off the ignition harness
    97 - 99 is yellow or purple @ the d1 spot. 00 - 03 looks the same

as is 04+ except they can tap the bcm instead conn. C1, pin 21

to get to the wires you need to remove the snap on dash cover the lower cover then the security shield. and that's where i am at so far today.
it's raining so i'm working on mounting it

tested this little guy and it's a momentary. so i will be using this button to make the key work and start the engine if anything happened to the button

so i will wire mine so only the button starts the car, unless you hold down that button while turning the key

97 and 98 gp's do not have the passkey
it is also being wired so that the key must be in the on position to start the car
some see this as a useless mod, however since my car will start in neutral i can turn my car off at lights to save gas, and pressing a button is easier than turning a key

so i remote start the car while i'm sitting in the drivers seat w/ the keys in the ignition sitting in dead traffic w/ the car in neutral

but this may be useless to some it is still a badass mod w/ a cool factor to most ppl

So how long are you sitting at lights? I don't see the benefit of saving gas? If you are driving 100 miles a day, is this all city driving? I am guessing your starter already hates you.....

Not trying to rain on your parade.... but I just can't grasp this... albeit a cool idea.... but not for gas savings.... carry-on....
Its just a car.......with rust and dreams for the future!!!!

Depends how long he's idling.. Ten second worth is generally what is considered enough to restart the car.
