5 hours of work on ONE headlight, and I probably won't get it open until after another half hour.
First of you shouldn't be using a heat gun to seperate lenses from capsules. Sure it works but by the time you get one area melted enough to seperate and move on the area you just worked on like you've already said adheres itself back together. Put them in the oven the whole lense sealant melts uniformly, just my opinion though you can do whatever you want but it takes me about 15 minutes max to peel lenses using my method.

I can't use my oven; I have a bird and the fumes would likely kill it. My BBQ runs way too hot and would melt it, so I'm kind of stuck.

On the plus side, the next lens should only take maybe a third of the time; I was attempting to use the heat gun to melt a whole side at once, which wasn't working. I started melting and prying five inch sections and holding until they cooled and it went much faster. I spent two hours on the first lens allowing the glue to melt and reseal and it basically turned into a rock hard gloppy mess.

I'm not so worried about the broken tabs as I'm going to use butyl tap and run a bead of adhesive sealant along the lens when I'm done, which should make it watertight and well sealed.

are there any places or people that will do these retrofits if "said customer" buys the parts and ships them to the person who will make them...im not the best handyman but the $1000 dollar estimate seems a bit high for professionals to do it...i can install the ballasts and hid kit myself, but as for retrofitting the projector kits...uhh, i don't wanna know how many pairs of headlights i'd end up going through

^ google lightwerks but it's going to cost you a arm and a leg and big thing is there is no guarantee cutoff would be straight since a) most of them wont actually have a grand prix. b) retrofittng requires most of the adj to be set while on the car before they are sealed,
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal

Yeah we need someone...were stuck with screwing up our own project, spending more money than we want, or buying terrible fog lamp type projectors housings...if nothing else I'm thinking throwing my wallet at it...I'm not looking for just aesthetics...I work an early morning shift and while the headlamps are ok and I'm running hir bulbs, they aren't what a great projector setup can be

Nope none off hand.... there's been a few guys here to do nice 04+ retrofits but they don't want to help anyone out and make some extra money... I won't name any names! They don't want to do it because they know it sucks and isn't worth the chump change they'd make doing it imo

I think you 04+ guys are stuck between a rock and a hard place

You'd need 1 pair bi-xenon morimoto H1 projectors and mini gun shrouds
1 ddm slim ballast or raptor ballast HID H1 kit
    1 9006/HB4 bi-xenon trs relay harness
1 pair of good clear lensed headlights

That's it..... litewerks is out of their minds!!!!!!

Oh ya and 1 pair mori H1 bulbs wouldn't hurt either it's a def upgrade to ddm's bulbs

TOh I know virtually what I need its the fear of screwing up the handiwork involved lol...and the reason I fear is I get frustrated and impatient and I believe ill crew them up..and yesthere are writeups on here with very nice looking results but they also show me where id screw up lol...
