i cant drop the front plate bracket. missorui requires 2 plates. i just got the car so i havnt gotten my plates yet. the gxp badges will be black and red. i think your right though. the gm badges will probably just go away. all the other badges are gone except the front pontiac badge. as you can see.

How did you get everything off? I've been wanting to do this and don't want to fack it up.

Look's great though. And just FYI, Illinois requires both plates as well, but I took my bracket off anyways. Trust me, it is worth it. It changes the whole front end of the car. Just put your front plate on a magnet or something temporary for long road trips.

ok. so i took all the pins out of the top of the bumper

this allowed me to pull the bumper out to reach the back of the grill. the grill pops in with a wedge type prong on the back.

just reach in and push them out.

once out you will be able to tell how the chrome ring pops off. i used 180 grit paper and sanded it. then wiped it with alcohol, painted it with gloss black paint and let it dry over night. pops right back in.

Wow, dropped the bumper cover? When I took out my grilles to wire my driving lights I just pulled the grilles straight out. They are held into the bumper with plastic clips.

You should debadge the GM chicklets, not paint them. I did this and have inlays in my GXP badges.

Truck is much different than stock as well. Post some pics when you're done so we can see.

btw to fill the holes you can get small plastic panel push pins from the auto store and paint them glass black then push them right in and your next project should be some all black retrofitted headlights

Damn, I just realized I put 'truck' instead of 'trunk'
No wonder you didn't know what the hell I was talking about.

did you paint that on the outside? or did you take the time to peel the emblem apart and paint the inside of the emblem, then put it back together?

what ive seen people do is taking the badge apart, scraping off the paint on the inside, then painting it their colors of choice. then the outside is stock and the inside is painted custom. i think it looks great either way, just wondered which way you took.
