i had those and they did dry out. now it seems ive got bubbles the same size with something that looks like a small spec of dirt or dust in between the tint and glass. i might post a picture if i get ambitious. what could cause this? they weren't there a week or two ago.
i wanted to get gp tinted but around here its outrages. There was an extra 80 dollars for the front two windows because i wanted it darker than the legal limit. so if you live in CR iowa let me know of some good tinting places.
i did my own gp and a a few buddys with gila tint from advanced auto and it was good quality... i have had it on for almost 2 years and not a bubble... the cheapo tint sucks and the more expensive tint is better. but practice def makes prefect and patience.
Everything Ive found here in Mi was $220 for 4 door. And a little hint I got was to tint your front windows less than your backs. I never thought about it but it would make the appearence that they arnt tinted as the back will still be darker. (since atleast in MI your only allowed to have a two inch banner at the top of the front windows)
I tinted windows on my GM truck, wasnt too hard to do, my back window was flat though so its not really the same thing on a Grand Prix. This spring I'm going to do the sides myself and pay for the back window, curved = harder to do.
Some places can do it in less than 45 or so but sometimes they ask to leave the car there all day so it bakes good in the sun and if there are any imperfections they can catch it and fix it before the customer does..
I think it was about a 2 hour job for all 7 windows on my Regal GS. I left it over night though so the car would be warm when they did the work.
I think mine took about 3 hours or so cause it was just one guy doing it and he also like stated above wanted the car to stay there for awhile. He requested the entire day but I had to go to work.
yea he recommended me park mine in the sun as well. but that was sort of impossible since that same night at 9pm i spun a rod bearing. i hope none of you have this luck -_-
I'm pretty sure there is a place in troy that does it cheap. I'll talk to my buddy tomorrow at work and see where he got his done at, he lives in piqua.
But i just did my myself in my focus cost me $20 for the tint from autozone.
