I'm gonna preface this by saying I hate trying to wire up anything...LOL

But I'd really like to get these lights working again.

For years and years I had Blazer 3200's on my car and ran the stock wiring, just used the stock bulb, cut the bulb part off, then crimped some wires onto them and ran them to the new bulbs. It worked fine forever til finally one of the plugs burned up somehow...

Anyways, I've tried twice now to re-wire the foglights back up using a relay and using the info on BackNBlack's website. Never ended up getting them to work.

So basically I'm hoping someone can walk me through how to get these wired up to work so I can still use the factory fog light switch and turn these babies on.

So working from the factory fog light wiring harness (the purple and black wires that run down behind the passenger side headlight), where to I need to run wires and such? And what's a good ground point?

    Any help is greatly appreciated...

    Thanks,
    --Marcus

The stock harness is all gone out of the car, except the purple and black wire coming down from the main harness. Those connectors are long gone.

Can I just take the purple wire and run it to the positive side of the fog light, and then take the black and run it to the negative side of the fog light? Or do I need to wire up a relay and all that jazz?

Right now I've got everything hooked up exactly like the diagram on Back N Black has on his website and they still aren't coming on.

Do what you just said, Purple is positive and black is negative. You should be fine.

So don't worry about wiring it up with a relay harness?

Nope, don't worry about a relay harness. I've been running H3 55w fog light bulbs for the longest time now. They've been more then fine.
