    Heres what i did

    - Rinsed off all the dirt with soap in the bathtub
    - washed it by hand
    - used (GUNK ENGINE DEGREASER) on it twice, both times scrubbing with a green scouring pad
-rinsed it off for 5 mins with the garden hose
    - let it soak in the tub with bleach
-rinsed it off again with the hose...

IMO she should be sparkly clean, which it seemed to be. So i started painting the letters and the damn paint was repelled like as if there was grease or chemical still on it...

now i need to get some paint thinner and remove what i just did...

what am i supposed to do to clean it? so the paint can go on like its meant to?

I read another post yesterday and sum1 said to let it soak with bleach.... maybe it was residue from the bleach that did it... that sucks

i used some 320 grit sand paper on the letters, blew the dust away, then just scrubbed the whole thing real good with rubbing alcohol and it came out great

use a high quality silicone wax and grease remover, keep wiping until you come up clean.
