Hey i got a problem, on my SUV (Chrysler aspen 2007) i got HIDs new ones 6k all around with the headlights being h13 hi and low HIDs and the fogs are 9145. The fogs have started to flicker a little bit, we had someone install them since it was hard to get to the fogs but i think the guy has the relays to the headlights. So does that mean the fogs need a relay too now?
Before we had the differ fogs the same color 6k but they seem to be a differ color from the top and also flickered so we took it back today and he replace one of the sides bulb and ballast and it was the same color as are headlights finally and so change they other sides bulb only. So they stopped flickering until just now one side started to flicker then the other one did too. and when i mean flicker i mean like as if the bulb was shaking on the floor or like vibrating. But then when the other side fog started flickering i can see it in the lamp. So what the hell is wrong do both the headlights and fogs need relay cause i know one of them has it and i think its the headlights.
That flickering sounds just like what I was experiencing with my 55watt ballasts. So id say yes u need the relay to power em off of the battery. In my opinion after all I've learned the last couple weeks I think its good practice to put a relay on all HID's

ok, i know i should practice but first ill have our guy install em and watch first then ill try myself later on.
Is it possible to have 2 relays on the battery, One for the headlights and one for the fogs?
Hey, I want to replace the stock o-nex brand HIDs for the fogs i have right now from the 6000k i have to the 3000k. I live just a few miles awat from DDM tuning retail store which is great since the shiping from ordering online is expensive. They said the bulb is just 15$ which is great. But i just want to know are DDM Tunings HIDs great? Im hoping they are cause i want to get the 3000k Fogs for my SUV. Also will the 3000k fogs look good with the 6000k headlights i have, and will the 3000k be brighter than the 6000k? The 3000k yellow wont look like ricer lights will it?
I have been running 3000k fogs and 6000k low beams for the past 3 years from DDM. Only had 1 ballast burn out during that time and sent it back to DDM under the lifetime warranty provided when you purchase the kit. Had a replacement ballast in less than a week. No complaints.
Thanks for your opnions, ya i dont think 3000k looks that good on a SUV as opposed to a car But i think i might get it to try it out if not i think ill just get say like 5k for the fogs and headlights. I do however like the 3000k fogs, they look pretty cool and its like the power of the sun in your fogs.
The only thing is will it look weird having 5k in the fogs and 6k on the headlights? Cause i think i want to just buy the fogs first and see how it is and then get the headlights. Mainly because the headlights are like 15$ + 20$ because our headlights are hi and low in one. And we want the hi because we use it to signal other drivers. You guys think it will look weird or naaa? Thats possibly why i want 3k cause i think IMO That the yellow will go with any color headlights, well with white or blue that is.
Hey i got DDMs 4500k bulb in my fogs for now and they seem to be pretty brighter i just cant tell. Also what is the bulb supposed to looks like cause it looks just like the 6000k bulb i have. Is the 4500k supposed to have a white strip?
alright I'm pissed! I just got my DDM Tuning kit and it came with the HID harness but I need to connect the 3 wires (Brown, White, Blue) to the socket. I've looked all over to find out which way to hook up the wires and I'm at a loss. Does anyone have a pic of how they wired theirs?
Oh I understand that but you see the blue socket is empty. I have to put the three wires into it and they have the terminals already crimped on them so thats good. I forgot to look at the factory schematic and look at which wires are hi/lo/gnd
Here is what I'm trying to explain.
this photo is the whole thing. as you can see the socket is not attached.
