Looks good, but your car looks Silvermist to me and you have it listed as a 2000 in your sig too. Only Daytonas came in Galaxy Silver in 2000, as far as I've ever seen. Just a FYI. Great job on the paint work!!

Hmmm, every single pic of your car looks like Silvermist to me (more pearl in it). Galaxy Silver usually looks A LOT brighter with little to no pearl/color change. Must be a factory mistake or something to have received the Daytona only paint color for 2000 since Pontiac never offered Galaxy Silver for 2000 GPs. Would be easy enough to tell by the sticker on your car with the paint code sticker. Silvermist would be WA331D, Galaxy Silver will be WA519F.

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix paint codes:

    WA159E Mary Kay Pink
    WA331D Silvermist Met
    WA353E Navy Blue Met
    WA401E Dk True Green Met
    WA518F Med Gulf Blue Met
    WA526F Redfire Met
    WA528F Dk Bronzemist Met
    WA5322 Lt Driftwood Met
    WA8555 Black
    WA8774 Brt Red
    WA9753 Brt White

Looks good regardless. Just my OCD.

No problem. I LOVE Silvermist GPs! I've owned (2) 98s, (1) 99, and (1) 00 Silvermist GTPs. Not to mention a ton of other colors and years. I think our cars have so much "deeper" paint than the Galaxy silver ones and like that it's a bit darker and has quite a bit of pearl in it.

I've been into GPs since the early 80s as a kid. Not a big fan of the 80s Grand Prix though, but I love Regals/GN and the Cutlass of that time. Got my first 98 Silvermist GTP in early 99 and have owned at least one ever since.

Just think of what a ricer would do and do the opposite.

Hard to find a compliment for red, except more red. The stock "aluminum" looks lazy.

I'm trying to think of a 2nd color myself for fascia/grills/calipers/rear bumper lettering.
Oh! I know PINK! Not. Candy apple red?

    IMO

I just stick to standard Rustoleum for primers and color coats, clear. It's good for up to 400 F. I might go for a "high temp" clear on calipers and banjos. Surface prep is far more important. On metal hard parts, dish soap and a brush until clean, then mineral spirits, then a little soak in cheap, old fashioned (Dollar store!) oven cleaner. It's mostly caustic Lye in spray-on form. Then water rinse, dry and more mineral spirits or lacquer thinner for final clean. Primer, Color then 2-3 coats of clear.
