I took my car to a local mechanic, the guy I take my car to for most of my maintenance, and he charged me 1100 for installation of heads and a cam. the hard part of a top swap is the harmonic balancer remove and install. installing the heads and supercharger would be the easy part, just time consuming. doing a top swap would be an easy way to make 300 hp at the wheels with a cam and a light port job on the heads.

stock heads stock throttle body stock timing chain s1x cam 105# springs ti retainers tog headers gen5 sc 280+ whp on 3.4 and 330whp on 2.8 and e85.

    such simple setup.

I've actually got one that's as close to new from GM as you're probably gonna get. It's only got about 10k miles on it.

You'll be happy with any of the lower-end cams. VS, XP, S1X, LL, etc.

I made 291 hp on my setup and I even had plug wires backwards. Also had a canned tune at the time that was off.

I've read alittle about e85. What all goes into it? I know it's adrenalin for the car! I need to be more resourceful about people who can port out the heads. I'd want to get the s/c ported to right?

You basically need bigger injectors because it requires 30% more fuel , I would say a racetronix fuel pump ( some will say stock is fine , you decide ) , change the fuel filter , and then obv a tune.

It burns really cold , higher octane , about 107 , helps fight knock , and you can run a lot of timing.
