Look dude, were not trying to be asses about it, well some of us are, but unless you really know what your doing, don't turbo.(Run on sentence from hell) If you want a little more out of your GT, top swap it. Find someone that knows how to tune and tune it.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

Uh, for the record, if you did a ebay turbo setup (not really as bad as it sounds) and did the hot side yourself, you could be out the door for well less than $1000 and have a fairly nice (probably not nice looking) setup.

Well no ****, but 80% of the people here have never welded something before, nor own one or even know a friend that can weld for them, then if they do, that friend doesn't even know how a wastegate functions. That $1,000 will not go far if there is no knowledge to begin with.

Agreed. I can weld, know where to use a welder, but doing a turbo setup... no idea.

Turbo setups arent all that complicated.....they're actually pretty primitive in design. Like Dark said, he probably could get out of the door for less than 1k. **** he could run low boost and no ic, all he would have to worry about is the hotside. He would still be faster than a standard top swap. If I had to choose I would choose going turbo. Top swap is okay but the potential is always greater for a turbo, and if he wants he can get a built trans and all he has to do is turn the boost up and get tuned.

Maximum Boost--Read it to understand if you can weld.
    Comp Turbo 6765 T4-ST5-A2A IC-Ported Heads-Custom Turbo headers-80 lb inj-F-Body UIM and LIM-AEM WB, TEP trans w 1" chain and Circle D TC, Dual 255s, Bilstien Struts
WHY IS EVERYONE SO OPPOSED TO DOING A COMPRESSION TEST TO TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS?
