I keep a .40 in the trunk in a biovault, thankfully our rear seats fold down.

I think it was justified, big deal its a simple assualt and battery charge and its only a $90 dollar ticket anyways. Self-defense, he used his vehicle as a weapon before you used your fists.
This is why I love living in N.C......we have a "open carry" right. As long as you have the gun in the passenger seat not covered up your fine. If you get pulled over , roll your window down place your hands on the side of the car, and say, just wanted to let you know ive got a gun in the car. If he/she asks you for a conceled carry permit, just tell them you are exercising your right to open carry. Most say ok, or thank you...hell 2 officers have offered to buy my glock lol. Just check with your local/state laws before you try "open carry".
