with 3.29s on street tires, traction will be your biggest issue. just ease into the throttle and apply more when you dont hear/feel the tires squeeling so much. dont hammer/floor it from a stop, you'll just lose traction easier that way. i think richmond or frederburgs at or near sea level? since you're in VA, how far away are you from cecil?
i imagine you'd get in mid to high 12s with a decent sub/low 2.20 sixty footer.

Not sure on cecil, I'm located in virginia beach and don't know where that is. I'm running 25/55/zr17s on the front 245/45/17s on the back. I have two complete sets of 03/04 mustang rims.

Please for the love of god use the edit button so your not posting back to back to back.

Keeps threads short instead of 30 pages long over a short time span.

If you plan on track-racing the car and consistency is important, then yes.

If you are just bringing your street car to see how well it does, but don't plan to race competitively, then no. (And remember that MPH is more important than ET for a measure of power in traction-limited street cars)

For my street car, I would only worry about comparing MPH against other cars, even though everyone else was ET-hyped.

why dont you drive that thing around town to see what it does before you take it to the track? less people to see you make a fool of yourself if you gun it from a stop light.

Not sure what you mean by treating, I havent done anything but a short test drive with the car in its current configuration. From previous experience with just the 3.0 pulley and the intercooler with a ubend delete and cold air intake It was a beast as far as I was concerned way faster than anything else anyone in my high school had. This was about 8-9 years ago back in 2006-2007

Sounds like you need to just go do it. Stop worrying, pull up and go. Your going to run **** ass times to start. 14s, high 13s. Once you get the hang of it you might get into mid to low 13s. Stop chasing numbers and drive the damn car.

Ok gotcha... I would watch out lowering even if you are scanning .. I chipped 2 pistons on a 2.8 e85 genv headers xp cam stg3 ported head build and i was scanning aeroforce wise..... Anything after a 2.8 is pushing it in my opinion.. Better off adding timing...

Dont tell Frosty that, hell argue that one lol. He gained more power going to a 2.55.
Though what happened in your tune? e85 and cammed and ported heads and you poped it?

Well everybody have their own experiences... Nuthin was wrong with the tune reptile did the canned tune i wish i actually dyno tuned it tho... drove the car 3 months converted on e85 and i was revving close to 7grand... Didnt let off in a race with a buddy and chipped cylinder 3 and 5 was chipped pretty bad...on a 2.8 pulley...and genv which is like a 2.6 on a gen 3

2.8 is the lowest I plan on going. if I cant get 16* of timing advance I will pulley up. I am also considering adding a methanol injection kit, and if I do that I am sure I will be fine running the 2.8. any idea what the biggest contributor to the chipped pistons was?

edit for more information: I dont plan on revving mine anywhere near 7000 rpm, I will probably stay close to 6000 rpm. I went with 90 lb LS6 springs, so I will have to check for valve float while I am doing the tune. I am also having an in car tune done by a friend and will be finished on the dyno.

one more edit: I have a ported gen 3 and a machined Lim, but I also have a rotor pack that has the gen 5 rotor coating on it, so I wonder how that will affect everything.

That pulley is pulling a lot of heat idc what anybody says scan or no scan lol when i use to run my buddies last year i would pull over pop my hood up and put a ice pack on the blower that sh** was toasty
