It takes just as much work to make a blower build make that much power...sooo, I'm missing the point here?

A built 5.3 should still make more than 350WHP anyways...cast iron truck motors are making north of that easy.

So what I read in that article is that I can take a 6.0 cam throw it in a 5.3 gain 40hp and only lose 8lb of torque that can be gained back in a tune without upgrading any of the valve train

I get that there's more in terms of camshafts but that's like the part I sorta understand and is feasable for modding a 5.3 truck not to get this thread off track just figured I would ask

Pretty sure if you build a trans to handle it FWD 5.3 can be built up real nice just like the RWD ones
