Ok so i have a little bet going at work. They think there is no way that my car will run under 14s cus they look at stock gtp numbers and they are 15 flat. What do you guys think my car will run with my mods in sig. I told them 13.5-13.9. They said they will pay for my gas and my runs.

What do you mean by ratings?

How sticky are they? As in how soon can you go WOT in first? Does your trans slip on the 1-2 at WOT? Those questions don't merit real answers, but all I'm getting at is, the sooner you can go WOT in first, the better. If you can't go WOT until 30+ MPH, you need a lot more traction.

Being it'll be your first time out, supposedly its a crap shoot. You could do great, adapt really quickly and put down some solid numbers, or spin. I've never been, so I can't speak from experience. Hoping to change that soon.

I practice my launches regularly but i know that its going to be alot different on the track. Yea i purposly purchase these tires because of the dry traction rating they had. Its pretty hard to do a burn out with these tires. I have to push the ebrake in all the way and still they drag the ass end whereas my last tires just lit up np.

First time at the track, nerves and inexperience, I'd say you'd do a low 15's, and probably get into the mid to upper 14's, depending on you 60'

    But really, since it's a Grand Prix, it'll probably run a 9.49 @ 156

I'm betting on 14.4 is the fastest you'll run the entire night, even with a 3.5" and rockers.

With the rockers and 3.4/3.5, you can potentially get 13's.

Cold is going to be tougher to hook tires, and give you more power based on temp. Arrive early, lay bags of ice on your SC and throttle body. Then pull at least one front wheel speed sensor connector apart. Next.. read up on the cable mod or find yourself a set of spring blockers from the GTO's. Arrive at the track on fumes (put spare gas can in trunk with say 2 gallons), Since you are gutting the car, that's likely to drop say 200-300 lbs aka 2-3 tenths if you drive right.

That covers weight reduction, cooling the SC to hopefully bring down your first runs cylinder temps slightly, torque management and weight transfer.

Practicing your launches on the street is very different, most guys get to the tree and excitement takes over. If you can keep from launching in a cloud of smoke, that'll help.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

My car i can shut off traction control from button, also i have it tuned out anyway. Wouldnt the best way to probly go about loading the year is to jack up the ass end and put some blocks in the springs?
