Those 305 were dogs in those years. Later years 305s were good when mated with a T5. I used to own 3 Thirdgens back in the day. Stock their slow as hell.

My GTP would give my old 89 Iroc L98/700r4/3.23s a good fight.

there is a technique to launching a S/C 3800 or LS4. on those piss ass poor rikken raptors i'm down to about 2.0 flat 60' times and running mid/high 13's (13.7's)...it takes some work...but very doable. i don't even think i'm over about 2200 - 2500 on the launch. get very little spin...and just ease into it over a couple seconds...seems to work the best for me...

    The boldddd.
Actually Thirdgens Fbody came with a decent stock combo with its 305 LB9 mated with a T5 and 3.23/27 gears. Im sure that combo will give a stock GTP a good run.

Im sure my old 92 Camaro RS 305 L03 Setup would give most 3.4 setup GTPs a good run, and I did not have much invested into it since I swapped a 97 LT1/4l60e afterwards.
