last night on my way home from work i see some nice hid lights behind me so i slowed down to let it catch up in hopes of it being a worthy opponent, a new camaro pulled up next to me. i have no idea whether it was the v6 or not because it was too dark to see any badges. the guy already knew whats up he pulled up next to me and slowed down i dropped to 2nd we were at a 45 mph roll and he gave me the 3 honks and i instantly took off by a car length, i actually let off the gas for a second to let it catch up and then nailed it again and took off by about another car and a half. the camaro couldnt even keep up until we were going 115+ and even then he could only keep up and not pass.

Whats your mods? Because the v6's are no slouch at 300hp.

not much just a fenderwall intake and egr delete. i still have stock exhaust and stock pulley. but i have a full rebuild planned for spring semester when ill be taking engine rebuilding. its not that i dont know how to rebuild a motor, ive got to take this class anyway to get my certification and i might as well take advantage of a surplus of tools while i have the opportunity.

i dont understand why so many people on this forum are so rude. i thought this was a place where people who share something in common could talk to each other about their rides, not be harassed by someone who obviously has nothing better to do than talk **** to someone on the other side of the country??? i just think alot more people would post and be active in this forum without people like you.

I have doubts due to the power lvl of the v6 maro's. I understand they are heavy cars, yada yada. But with a fenderwell intake and egr delete that's not much for the mod dept unless you have a factory freak and the maro driver A: wasn't trying or B: Sucks!

I haven't yet picked on a maro or drove one so i really can't say what kinda of power they have other than what i've read.

Kudos to you if your not talking out your caboose!

We've had issues with trolls n' such as well as newcomers that openly lie about what or how they do things. But we should still attempt to maintain our reputation...*cough* *cough*....hint hint.

Not to be a jerk...but on paper you won't win against a camaro. Your mods aren't special and there's nothing special about a grand prix. Therefore, the members get out their jump to conclusions mat and next thing you know there's a complaint about chivalry and manners in the forum. It doesn't mean you're a liar. Maybe that car needs a driver mod? Maybe something odd happened?

I can't apologize for everybody but I do hope it helps you to understand the tone of some. We're pretty helpful for the most part; hopefully this won't taint your experience on the forums, and welcome :>

Anytime you post an unlikely kill story expect people to doubt it. That's just the way of things on any forum.

well i dont like being labeled as a possible "troll", for what its worth i suppose i could make a vid tomorrow of a 45-115 pull to prove my car is surprisingly fast for my mod level. i love my gp and i dont want to be labeled as a troll here.

So you're one of those "i got a factory freak" kinda guys? Welcome to the internet, don't lose any sleep over it.

EDIT: Why are you using a proxy?

Don't worry man. I've had a few run ins with rude ppl on here when I make a simple comment or question. Just ignore and skip over their comments. Im a smart ass myself and I can take it to a certain point, but some ppl are just rude. Good kill man, I have yet to get anyone to race me to give me an idea of where I stand. Btw, does an egr delete do anything as far as power gains?

well basically the egr is recirculating burned exhaust gas back into the combustion chamber, exhaust gas is nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons "maybe others i cant remember and its late" and if your engine is running correctly very little or no left over oxygen. instead of those elements taking up space in the combustion chamber we can use that space to add more oxygen and fuel.

realistically how much power could you gain? well im not sure lol

but you can bet on losing some fuel economy
