I might have to look into that. Im not crazy about losing mpgs, but if its minor I can deal with it. As long as the hp gains are worth it. Im not expecting a drastic change in hp, but if I can't tell a dif, its not worth it to me.

I drive one all the time. It is no doubt faster than a gtp on the highway. Maybe the guy you raced only dropped to fifth if he was manual, maybe he figured he was toying with you.

0 to about 60 and I could believe you if you said you beat one, depending on the driver. Past that though is where our cars become dogs, and that camaro will keep going.

I did race one about a month ago with my modded GT although he had two other people in the car I hung with him from 55-90 then he started slowly pulling away.

They run mid to high 14's from the factory in the 1/4...which is about spot on with your car. If you yanked it on the highway then something was up...because that DOHC 3.6 is gonna run you down hard after 60/70 mph.

Sorry that he messed with ya and go your hopes up? Go get headers/3.4" and a good tune and go find him and really run him down.

realistically how much power could you gain? well im not sure lol

but you can bet on losing some fuel economy
You know EGR is typically used in cruise situations only right?

So other than keeping your top end cleaner (arguably not good) you're just giving up fuel economy and polluting more.

Both of things still don't give you the right to rag on someone.

    Regardless.

No one has still seen any pics of the Escort...or speedo videos...or anything for that matter.

That's why we gave you crap.

When I was at the track when they first came out guy driving one could not break 15s he ran 15.1-15.5 so it would be close with a gt if it was a crap driver.

If you recall, I was not doing any of the "ragging", I was simply asking where video's...and pictures were...and you still haven't tossed up anything. Last I checked a question wasn't an attack. I just wanted to try and justify an all motor ZX2 with NO forms of forced induction or a bottle runs well into the 12's. Sorry if you feel like that is an "attack"

Sidenote: My sisters husband just got a 2012 RS/SS that I'm waiting for him to break in so I can take it for a spin.

Regardless, I'll even let you borrow a camera to take videos. It's a POS I don't even use anymore.

I just want to see a 12 second, all motor ZX2...that's all.

yeah, i was with my buddy when he wasted a new ss with longtubes, plugs, wires, cai, and a tune, and he wasted it 70-115. and..... drumroll, that was in a 04 2500 silverado duramax. ha ha. well wasted is a stretch. more like the race started side by side @70 and we pulled on the maro enough that he pulled behind us and drafted after that but couldnt get around us.
duramax made 515hp 990lb ft on a dyno so...
ss camaros are no joke. cant say about the v6s tho
