I knew that was coming and yes for half the price I would get a Zo6. Put cams in it and call it a day..
And if I wanted more I would get this:
Chevrolet | 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1 Sport Convertible

well first of all, i said muscle/pony car the corvette is not a pony car, neither does it compete with the mustang, and is also double the price plus some of the mustang, so if thats the best come back you could think of for gm, then like i said mustang wins in that category all the time, and like mentioned before the ford gt was made to compete against the vette, but only in speed, they did not try to out sell the vette, unlike the camaro/t/a/gto, which tried and failed badly, but i would also buy a corvette over the ford gt, the vette is a icon also, i think that the vette is the greatest sports car ever made, but it hasnt been a muscle car since the 70's, the vette's competition is way more fierce than a mustang or t/a or charger, it competes with lambo's, vipers, f430's, ford gt's, and it that class the vette crushes the competition, so like i said before i love both
well the whole point of the mustang was supposed to be the average mans muscle car thats why its half of the price of a vette its not supposed to be a luxury muscle car its the working mans muscle
I do believe you said that the Ford is better than anything GM makes.. I did not know there were hidden exclusions in there... A car is a car, no matter if you can afford it or your neighbor.. Makes no difference. We were comparing stock: Ford to Chevrolet.. No one said anything about a budget..
The corvette>any new/old muscle
So how much does a new gt500 run these days??
I agree with what you are saying though. I have no problem with mustang guy's I may be one myself in the near future. Thinking about getting a fox body for the drag strip.. From my research and my needs that seems to be a very solid bet!

If your gonna run a stang at the track...the Fox body is a good base body to use...which motor are you thinking of using? My dad runs a ' 89 foxbody with a 460 B.B., running 7.6's in the 1/8 very consitantly (no spray)... not the biggest stang fan sorry... im just partial to my gtp
I never said that ford is better than anything gm puts out, dont twist my words around, i was simply stating that the mustang and the vette are not in the same class, and i did give props to gm when i said that the corvette was a better deal than the ford gt, but i did say cubic inch to cubic inch the ford is usually faster, such as 351 vs. 350 and 302 vs. 305, so please dont twist around what i said, and a gt500 is still no where near the price of a vette, if you go msrp hard top gt500 is 43,000 and a z06 is 77,000 not saying you can get either one brand new for that price because of the dealer mark ups but thats the true price, i've sold both before

"the mustang is a icon so when talking about mustang vs. gto/camaro/t/a or any other car in its class for that fact, how the he!! can you say gm for the win, when it losses in that category every time they try"
"American Muscle Class"
Every American Muscle car is in the same "class" no matter if it's a v6 trans/stang to a gt500/zo6...
im sure alot of cars that are twin turbo'd putting down 1,000hp will break lose at 150 mph. with the right suspension set up and tire combo some of that could be avoided. but your still driving a 1,000hp car...what do you expect
^
Supra's
It might sound cool now, but it is ALWAYS a bad idea to have a custom license plate that says "*insertanyothercarhere*KLR" on it unless you have the car to more than back it up (ie around here it would have to be a 10 or 11 sec car to justify it, because there are a LOT of quick Mustangs around). You will be bit in the ass by it more times than you can imagine haha I have seen it happen.
