So i'm cruising down the highway getting home, and see a red GP fly past me atleast 90mph

    so im in a 2000 silverado 8ft box 4 door z71 4x4 5.3L stock.

And i say why not i catch up and he sees me coming atleast 2 cars away, and he gets on it and i am gaining on him, and then slowly passed him till i hit 99 and the damn govner killed it, makes me wish i was in my gtp

if it was a gtp, thats sad, but a GT i might be able to see

I'll believe it. It's pretty much like comparing a GXP to a GTP, but the gearing is probably different.

5.3 gutless if govner is on
so there both even, when i get it tuned ill have the speed limiter taken out, and the Wimpy take off mode to prevent differential damage.

i'll believe it. my dad has a 5.3 z71 sierra, it seemed like it pulled pretty decent. definitely better than my gt over 75ish. i pissed myself when i got it over 90 though, and shut it off about 93. something about being a couple feet off the ground at that speed made me uncomfortable lol

i wish i could buy the truck off my dad, it has 2010 wheels on it, and looks badass. he got it from a old guy that used to to drive from state to state for his business, he paid 2 grand for it.

i've told him i'd give him 5 for it but he always Denys me....

this. and how many people in the gp? 3 plus the driver makes a gt worthless.

I was suprised by th kind of balls the 5.3 has. Before i got another GTP i was driving a rental 2010 tahoe and was impressed. I only got it to 90 passing someone on a trip, but i know the 6speed auto definately helps alot....That and they have a rev limiter at 6k RPM haha. Gotta love rentals. Especially when you dont got to pay for them
