He might be, but I've got people here...and driving hundreds of miles to get a tune isn't my cup of ANYTHING.
im just saying there al ways some one lookin for a tune and if your from around here i recomend him.
i need a tune and live in michigan where is he located?
what mods does the silver car have?
he lives off of i75 exit 83b hes located in sterling heights. let me no if you want to get a hold of himm.
lol you will be like wtf? but he has open cone, e85, headers. thats it with a 3.4 pulley and running 13.1s he coudnt get a 13.0 he was trying like hell all day maybe with a perfect launch he could get it he had some 1.8s and lot of 1.9s 60 footers but no 13.0 othink his fastest yesterday was like 13.12
He needs a real slick. Should be a 12.95 or so.
ya so do i! but tranny for the loss
Man up and buy a real transmission...BOTH of you.
Mods: 100% Stock l67 from 03, Home Ported gen 3, Home ported T/B, Home made belt rap kit, 2.8 pulley, pacesetter headers, Hot air intake, e85, autolight plugs, Stock catback, Ryan Carter Tune ( Myself ).
I think 12's easy with another 3 or 4 degs of timming and dump the stock cat back even on the same tires. If i had a better set of tires then maybe 12's as is.
PB on this day was 13.11 @103.5 on a 1.95 60ft
I would think you'd be trapping higher MPH with all that boost...
Boost is a measurement of restriction. I cant flow a 2.8 at 6000 + rpm with only low .400's lift and a stock cat back but i am at a big gain in the low to mid range areas with the 2.8 and a tire to hook the added tq. So in turn mph is going to suffer when the boost/ added blower rpm is not being utilized.
How would have a built trans have changed the out come of are times?? Both of are tranny's are healthy and shift as commanded, Hard parts are still intact. Only thing to gain in an after market trans is hard parts that we have yet to break and tighter clutch clearances that are not going to change are times at all i don't believe at are mod levels. So in turn the price for an aftermarket trans just cant be justified until a failure occurs.
They can if you make big power.
Generally you're making a nice bit of power if you can hit the 12's.
Because with less shift times, better gearing, higher stall, etc...your 2.93's suck...trust me.
I'm sure that's all i need is more tq with a steeper gear set when i can't hook 2.93's. Higher stall speeds will once again aid in more tq but will suffer HP numbers and trap speeds. I think if I trusted you my car just might run slower. I Think I have done very well for my mod list.
I'm not saying it is a bad setup, I'm just saying PROVEN higher geared cars trap better...and get out of the box better...its called the driver mod. I pulled a better 60 with 3.29's then with 2.93's. One of Intense's cammed cars back in the day would trap over 115 with a S1X and IC on a 3.69 gear.
Gears are always going to help getting out of the box with traction depending. I also don't think that your correct when you say a steeper gear set will always net a higher trap speeds. I have seen better times with a decrease in trap speed on the same tire and wheel set up. Just becz intense ran 115mph on a 3.69 gear is only half the equation.....I am sure they ran a 28inch tire or better to run that time. So if that was the case its no longer a 3.69 final drive.
