Wait, LS1 only pulled 1/2 a car on a stock GXP? You sure is wasn't a v6 with badges? Or maybe a beat on, tired LT1? Bubble headlights? I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't see this happening.

We also must have a different idea on what "a lot of mods" means. To me, it's more like something close to full bolt ons. I see a fox with a lot of mods, and spraying on top of that, leaving you by a good bit more then 2 cars. Unless you're hiding something, an LS1 SS, and a bolt on/spraying fox SHOULD make a stock GXP look silly. Now that I think about it, you must be hiding something if everybody seems to want race you. For the life of me I can't see why an LS1 SS would waste the gas on a stock GXP.

However, I suppose anything can happen on dem streetz. Good kills none the less.

not that hard to believe, I beat a 2010 camaro ss twice in a row because he couldnt get traction, power dont do any good unless you can put it to the ground......and the older camaros are supposed to be slower right?

2010 maros run in the deep 12's. He must have fallen asleep then botched the launch. The run with the ss maro on the OP's original story was from a 20 roll. But yeah anything can happen on the streets.

You do realize that the GXP and the SS both have LS engines right? And the both put out slightly over 300 hp. Doesn't surprise me one bit that a GXP hung with an SS.

    1. LS4 SS or L67 SS?
    2. Sweet...silly beamers lol
    3. Good race. You should race him again after you mod the GXP.
    4. Those 5.0 foxes are pretty decent. Same thing as the SS, you should race him again after you mod the GXP.

I find it hard to believe cause those camaros or at least my friends only chirped the tires at a dig. Those stock tires are pretty good. Now that hes put headers and a cam that thing will not hold traction.

ZZP PCM, Wbody PCM, Custom PCM ( the best ), Headers, 3" exhaust, 3.4" pulley, ZZP 10.3 Wires, AL 104's, 160 tstat, 1.9 Rockers, Custom huge cone intake. Gunna push this GTP to the limit.

You do realize the that LS1's 1) dyno 280 WHP range Stock. GXP's in the 240-250 range..2) Ls1's Weight less 3439 lbsVS 3600 3) Ls1's have ran high 12's bone stock... Gxp is a 14 sec car. Maybe a high 13 on a perfect run in 20 degrees temps. Ls1's are about a full sec faster http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_1RSWcLK6w

wait wait wait. the ls1 ss makes prolly close to 300whp and the gxp is rated at about 305 chp. come on guys v6s are making that kind of power. if a v8 aint makin 400 or more nowadays than its a **** motor. imo

Your are correct the LS1 F-bodys usually dyno about 300 hp to the wheels.

Gotta show my face. But lol. I'll chime in with specs and stats tomorrow probably. ls1 are kinds cool but they are 350 crank. My general mechanic has one and we screw around sometimes. Nice runs home skillet.

I still find it odd that you won against a 01 SS but lost to a 5.0 Foxbody, mods or not, even spraying, it takes ALOT of mods for any foxbody to outrun a 01 SS

had to be alot of mods in the fox, and a horrible driver in the SS or he was playing with you, my friends stock 02 SS runs high 12s low 13s on drag radials... that means alot of mods for any GTP or foxbody to keep up... with or without a good driver mod

This is the reason I hate the new camaro... its a crappy built girls car. compare the 02 SS 6spd vs the 2010 SS 6spd... 100 hp more in the new camaro yet it runs 1/2 a sec slower in the 1/4 and cant keep up on high speed runs.... actually was slower in every trial... but its suppose to be improved after 8 yrs... HA!
sorry back to the OPs story
