I believe it; anything and everything is possible on the street. I ran a srt10 last fall rolling into a red then green light. As I watch my speed approach 3 digits, I was thinking “what is he doing back there, he should be flying by me, but he never did. We stopped to talk afterwards and the first thing he said was”man that thing is quick” and then went on to explain how I had caught him in a bad spot. That sounded like a good reason to me but it goes back to the old adage; that on any given Sunday…………

@ Irish....Whats ur point? my gp throws me back in seat also with the atleast 330 ft lbs of tq and i have a few adders as well to make it breathe better, i know his car is a little quicker overall but its not a massive amount....SS 0-60 is 4.7-4.9 and my car is 5.0-5.3 (cold day) and 1/4 mile SS is maybe 13.3-13.7 and GXP is 13.7-14.2 (cold day) so that only leaves little room for error on his part which he said he had traction issues and even admitted to other guys the next day that i got him that time. BESIDES....the title of this thread is you wont believe this

No offense to mexicans but some of them who called when I worked at advance auto parts say CHEB-BEE. What's better than that is when they call and own a ford exploder haha.
There is no replacement for displacement........unless you have a supercharger or turbo

2000 Bright Red GTP Coupe GXP axle back, GMPP sway bar, NGK TR6, 180 stat. (Uninstalled Aeroforce Interceptor, DHP PCM, FWI, Gen V on the way) and still no pulley in sight.

I need to hurry up and buy a house of my own, that tax credit means instant turbo for the car lol then that SS wouldnt stand a chance with decent tires.

I don't go by what the dealership says, those numbers is just what I've read on forums and seen on YouTube it might break 12 but I've never seen a stock one do it but that's just me and I probly am wrong but hey lol.

A 2000 Camaro would break 12s, mid 13s on a bad day. My 2000 Trans Am would run 13s all day.

I guess a ss could do it with great tires on it but judging by the way he started I'd say he'd be lucky to break 14's and like I said my car is fast enough to where he don't have much room for roasting them. I will try and get pictures of car and motor tomorrow if I remember and then figure out how to get the pictures resized to fit on site.

A SS 6spd pushes low 13s with a perfect launch and perfect shifts.... friends have modded and stock 01-02 z28s and ss's and they pull on the new ones still.... yes they have more power but the aero-dynamics are way off and they are alot heavier. an auto runs mid-high 13s and at the track last season 1 ss auto barely broke into the 13s on average... so ya if he was spinning, with basic mods to a gtp and a good launch with no spinning.... the gtp WILL win

they do have alot of power but dont put it the ground they way they should. I laughed when the tests came back and they ran the same stats as the 02 ss with 100 more hp

You are a better driver than him. The new 2010 SS camaro has the 6.2L LS3 Corvette engine with 436 at the Flywheel. Traction was a problem, and the driver needs more time behind that beast. I give you props for beating it, BUT that car should have won, not dusted you or anything but still......Good Story though!
