    haha.
have you ever had seen a Gsr then..
there is in fact a B18c1 which is a GSR,
all those engine codes you just got probably from wikipedia,
    but well ok cool.
& yeah the b18c5 is ITR (integra Type R)
    & b18c is the JDM type R.

& i never did compare a GSR with a k20z1 which yeah is found in a
RSX, yeah a rsx will probably walk by a gsr.
the type S motor pulls hard,
& yeah the integra is heavy COMPARED to a hatch.
which go head & find out which is heavier,
im talking kuz ive had these cars & pulled on some too.

& the EM1 those coupes with that k20 motor haul a$$ too.
couple friends down south had some modded like that.
hands Down compared to b Series the K series is the winner,
potentially & right out the box.
& by K series I mean ONLY the type S motor.
the ep3 motor simply in my opinion & in my eyes just suck.
& yeah if you do boost it well thats different,
but do the same to a k20z1 & put em side by side.
    then who pulls harder

Ever seen a GSR.. Kidding right? It's not like this insanely rare car. As far as this made up B18c1, the reason I brought up the JDM motor is because there's this thing where people buy JDM motors and have them shipped here. WOAH what an idea?!?! Got the codes of wiki? No, I got the codes off the block as i've owned them as well as built a few haha

Sorry man, there's no comparison between a K and B series. K has a stronger powerband while the B series gets all it's power in the 5k range.

You've owned them... Prove it. I've owned two and shown pictures to validate my statements. Also helped build a turbo B16 EG which I can also prove with pics if you'd like

I'm sorry dude, but I have to go with Michael's mechanical and Honda knowledge over your hear-say Honda "knowledge."

B18c1? Haha, someone needs to visit Honda | Acura Research, Reviews, Performance Parts, Owners - Honda-Tech.com

That motor doesn't exist there, sped.

    Pic Found on a site.
    heres the Link where the
    MADE UP
    engine code is pictured.

Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

    Im not Bs'n anybody.
& i guess you just never owned a car with a b18c1 motor in it.
    like the b17
    93 gsr
i think that was just made for like 2 years..

& i also helped to build a b18b1 (LS) turbo setup,
got tons of pics of that build.

& yeah thats where they make the most power,
since thats where the stock ecu engages vtec..

Actually...peeps. From my understanding in the Honduh world...there is a B18C1 and a B18C5...both of which were put in the Teggy...but internally the B18C5 is a lot different (rods, pistons, etc)...making 195hp @ the flywheel vs. the C1's 170-ish.

I'm not saying you guys don't know alot about Honda's...but you can't deny an actual stamped block and the fact if you do happen to search it on the web...its a pretty popular motor.

since ive seen em with my own eyes & drove em too.
    had to prove it
& btw the gsr shown in the
    silver EK is a b18c1

Touche on the picture proof man. However, back to the VTEC bit, K20's have power well before 5500 when VTAK kicks A3 or not, while the B18 is only a VTEC power motor. Respect to both engines, but you can't compare the two when without a doubt the K series is far superior. There's a reason people are ditching their Bseries builds for K20's

never did say that a B series was superior to a K
& if i had the money & could pick a motor to build
I WOULD GO WITH THE K20..
& yeah a bunch of people who have the money to swap
a K into their cars will do so & probably dont even take a second look
    at a B series..

but all vtec motors make their MOST power
    once vtec is engaged..

    but hands down between a B & a K series..
    k20 wins
    k20 from a type S
    haha

*I wouldve put that motor in my hatch,
but i dont have 7 grand or more
to spend for a complete swap
& if i did wouldve probably bought another car.

You know whats funny...people talking about VTEC like it is actually something great. It's Honda's way of turning on the VVT system...its so retarded...why not let it run like that all the time so you can actually make torque before 9,000 rpm? I laugh because my Cobalt took a B16 Si until about 80...and all it has is a cold air and HIGH PERFORMANCE PLUGS! It's all about the torque...the Ecotec will make every bit of 150+ ft. lbs. around 3000-5000 rpms...YAY GM. I just think Honda could have designed that better.

trade? Only bad things about the Cobalt are ummm...

    1) Wrecked Passenger Side and Pass. Front door doesn't like to open unless you roundhouse kick it
    2) Salvaged Title
    3) Manual Everything minus transmission
    4) All Passenger side speakers don't work with the radio
    5) Slight burns on ceiling and 2 in the backseat from previous pot head owner...which also wrecked the car the same night...hence issue #1 & #2
    6) And for some odd reason...has no trunk insert to cover up the spare tire and battery...hmmm.

I'd take a clean manual car anyday
