Do those have a clearcoat on them? It's hard to tell in that pic, but it looks that way.
I had a set on Outlaw II's that I used a paint stripper on to remove the clearcoat, then polished them. They came out great.
I know it's extreme, but if you're thinking about painting them, it might be worth a shot.
