Can you polish the 5 spoke painted rims from the GP. Not the star ones the other. I have no clue if they are aluminum or what. Someone is selling 3 polished and 1 painted. That's why I'm asking. Thanks.

Idk if they other 3 are chrome or polished. They say chrome polish so I don't think they know. The ad isn't in full sentences.

i believe under the paint is a polished wheel. never tried to take down the paint though. might use aircraft stripper.

that is WAY too much work. you have to polish the metal for it to be polished.

Ya I figured. If I could buy the 3 cheap and then buy just one extra. They are always on Egay. Just don't know if anyone would buy my honeycomb wheels.

i would think it would already be polished since its painted. it cant be rough. Im curious to strip a wheel just to see.

Painted wheels are rough under the paint, believe it or not. If you strip the paint, you'll either be repainting or sanding and buffing to get them to a polished finish. If you've ever seen a sand casting, this is basically what they look like under the paint - NOT polished by any means.
