i would think it would already be polished since its painted. it cant be rough. Im curious to strip a wheel just to see.Originally Posted by Bio248

Painted wheels are rough under the paint, believe it or not. If you strip the paint, you'll either be repainting or sanding and buffing to get them to a polished finish. If you've ever seen a sand casting, this is basically what they look like under the paint - NOT polished by any means.
