Cliffs at end

Backstory: So, I've been out of work since the beginning of May. I kept in contact with my employer about the state of things, and I am friends with everyone there anyway. One of the guys there secured a teaching position so they came to need some more help. Last week the supervisor contacted me and asked if I would be willing to come back, the only catch being it would be through a temp service. After ironing out a few things we came to an agreement. I contacted the temp service, and made an appointment for today, Wednesday, to do all the paperwork.

Today, I get up and get myself ready to drive the 40 minutes to the temp agency. I had noticed a lot of DOT truck traffic and thought maybe they were paving a road nearby that accesses the bypass. Because of that I altered my plan of travel to jump on a toll way up the road from my house.

Well, that backfired. They were actually tearing up the road I chose to take. The road is not normal width in the first place, and the equipment was taking up 2/3 of the road or more. I had to literally drive with less than half of my car on the road and in the process scraped the side on some overhanging brush....

Frustrated I push on. I was using my GPS because I wasn't entirely familiar with where I was going. I had looked at Google maps last night to get an idea of the area so I would know what landmarks to look for once I got in the area. As I get to the exit I am supposed to take I see "EXIT CLOSED FOLLOW DETOUR" mferrrrrr I detour the GPS and it takes me a different way than the DOT suggested route, but probably because it was more country road than anything. I'm finally in the vicinity and GPS tells me I have arrived, but I see a bank, and a Rite Aid, and a shopping plaza.

I glance over my shoulder to make sure I didn't miss something and when I glance back the sun is directly in my eyes. As I try to adjust, BAM!!! I hit a fvcking curb. I pull into a parking spot and "check right front tire pressure" shows up on the DIC. Get out to find the tire completely flat. I called the person I was supposed to meet, found out the agency was actually in the middle of the shopping plaza, and walked to the agency, leaving the car for later.

Get done at the agency and its time to tackle the car. I laid on the ground and looked at the wheel from the backside and couldn't locate any damage, so I thought that maybe I got lucky and it only popped the tire off the bead hard enough to blow the air out. (I've seen it happen before) I jacked the car up, to get the rim off the ground, and plugged my portable compressor in to try to air it up.

After a few minutes I wasn't getting any inflation so I figured I had to put the spare on. Didn't want to put the spare on the front, so I was planning on putting the rear tire on front, and spare on rear. I start jacking the car up more to get clearance to take the wheel off when I see movement.... The e brake doesn't hold for sh!t so the car slowly rolled forward and off the jack.

Thankfully the tire was still on, however I pulled the jack out and it looked bent to sh!t. After looking at it in disgust I realized I might be able to make it work again with a little force, so I stomped the sh!t out of it until everything was back in place. I tested movement on the jack and decided to give it another go, this time blocking the tires with tool box, spare tire, 4 way, whatever the eff I could block it with.

Once the tire was off, I found a gash in the tire, explaining why it won't hold air, and a dent and crack in the wheel. After that I finally got the tires swapped and headed home.

CLIFFS: Scuffed car, had to detour because of closed exit, hit a curb, got a flat, car rolled forward and bent up jack because of failed e brake, once tire off found hole in tire and bent/cracked wheel.
