due to recent events, we have vacated our house in Kemmerer and are living in a duplex near Jackson Hole in Wyoming. the place was previously a restaurant. Signs have been strategically located to alert people the restaurant is now a private residence. tonight was the second time people have come inside thinking they were going to eat in a restaurant. I am really glad we are moving.

I was just thinking... This may be a missed opportunity for some extra income. Either one of you any good at cooking? Haha!

Get something that looks official from the health department, telling people your place has roaches and rats and crap like that. Attach to door.

Wait, I'm confused. Are they walking right into your living room? If so that's kinda funny, but really creapy. Do you have a door, can you lock it? Do they just stand there when they come in, waiting to be seated? Have they tried to use your bathroom yet? Do they say anything, like "Yeah, my bad....I thought for a second this might no longer be a restaurant when I walked in on your family sitting on a sofa watching TV, but...I thought it was one of those dinner and a movie places?"?

I try to remember to keep the door locked, but sometimes I forget. it happened again yesterday, and my dog scared them away.

Maybe take down the sign over the door? At least flip the "open" sign around sheesh...

so, the door was locked this time, but the dog still went crazy. people even knocked on the door. I didn't bother answering because I heard them try to open the door before the knock

A simple sign/note on the door explaining that the restaurant is closed/no longer in business at this location and that this is a private residence may save you some trouble.

I thought about that, I haven't been able to come up with a good notification because the restaurant is still open, just not inside.
