I posted a picture of their place, you can see how much parking space they have. I dont care if they build a garage or not, they just need to park their sh!t somewhere else.
if the housing market wasn't terrible and we could sell our house we probably would. we have had our house listed for sale a few different times but no luck.
One of a few things to suggest...
One is, once you send the first salvo at the neighbor, just be sure you're willing to see it through! It could get ugly! That leads me to #2...
Know that is you say something to them first, they will know you are the cause of their problems.
Now, that said, you've lived by them, do they seem sensible people? I would take it by your description, they aren't... But you haven't said anything about previous interactions with them. Anyways, I agree with posts stating you don't own the street, and your unwillingness to claim your own space by parking a vehicle of yours in the disputed space just leaves an opening to create the friction you don't want. I say, park your vehicles there, if you go out, move another there to save the spot. Take up multiple spots with vehicles parked ostentatiously... Make your point without uttering a word. If they park there, cut the grass with clippings blown all over their car, snow, etc., lol... Maybe even do a carpentry project in front of your house and drop a few nails inadvertently, lol... Sooner or later, even the most stupid, will get the hint!
: )
Good Luck!
snow plowing and salt aint cheap, who the fvck are you to blow snow on a cleared roadway? thats what they say as they write the ticket.
then theres the whole ground water BS, they want a much rain/snow whatever falls from the sky to soak into the ground as much as it can, vs it all going down the drain to the rivers.
Isn't this one of your amendment rights? LOL
OP, I think the only thing you can do is talk to them. By the picture you posted they have two curbs, so tons of parking in front of their home.
My neighbours do the same thing; no cars in their driveway and park 3-4 cars on the street. The street is a short cul-de-sac with very minimal parking, so they figure they should consume it all. Luckily I have a lane way to the garage and some extra parking.

Spray there cars with water at night, and watch them chip at ice for hours.
I'm not afraid of talking to them, but I dont think it would have any affect. they arent braking any laws, and they are trashy enough if we did talk to them they would do it more.
I spoke with the police and he said if they haven't moved on thursday they can be ticketed. how would it be to get a ticket on christmas because you didn't move your car for 4 days. I parked my car back in the garage and now my wifes city vehicle/work truck is on the street.
