Seriously lol
did you relocate just for a system?
I could go for an ice cold Miller Lite and some pizza right about now.
Cobalt drivers are worse than civic drivers. And im not an ls fan. I was thinkin a duramax motor. Bolts right in.
Sometimes I wish I was a mod, so then I could lock threads like this, and the 200 threads a day from noobs asking what pulley they should run, or what exhaust system they should put in or anything else that has already been asked a bajillion times.
Are you basing this statement off of more youtube videos?
But hey. Now that i have you all gathered here. Im only peaking at 7.1 lbs of boost in my regal. Is that normal? I am using the stock digital gauge. Getting an analog tommorrow.
Ls motors are easy to mod and easy to get power out of. But then again so are diesels.
Is it stock?
If the pulley is stock 7.1 is normal.
Yupp 100% stock.
yes yes and more yes..
you sir. what you forget in your logic, is that yes, an engine can only pull so much air, but an aftermarket intake simply makes the air easier to get to, thus less strain on the motor, thus. more power/watts.
remember, horsepower is POWER in general and 1hp = ~726watts..
Ok good. Thought i had a leak. But serious questions now. I have this idea. Im very familiar with turbos but not these roots type supercharger. Is there a wastegate on these? Or can it only peak at 7.1?
unsubbing because my brain hurts now... smh.
No wastegate, but a boost bypass valve. You can increase boost by dropping pulley size, stock is 3.8, then most companies make a 3.6 3.5 3.4 3.3 3.2 pulley. Once you get below the 3.6 you need to start thinking about supporting mods or you will chip pistons. On any 3800 supercharged engine the first thing I would ever do is put headers on it or at the least a plog and 3" downpipe and get a scanner. After that step down in temp range on plugs and a good tune.
Why is no one in chat lol?
