Watch out though, the forces are changing. If you are going commissioned, be prepared to wait about 4 years to make CPT. Also, be warned, you will not be doing a lot of actual work in your field. You will probably be writing memos, attending briefings, and doing inventories. Honestly, the best place to be in the field is defense contracting. They work on the same signal equipment as the armed forces and get paid 3-4 times more. The guys in india/pakistan/china don't know their jobs and just read off of a screen. If you've ever called tech support and they ask you if your computer is plugged in, they are just following their sheets.
