its only bad when there the cocky rich kids thats what pisses me off

Well like I said. I couldn't care less about these other kids. The moral of the rant was to not shove it in other kids faces and call their cars a POS, especially when your parents bought you your car. Again, I don't care. It Dosn't piss me off that they get new/er cars, it just pisses me off when they call my car a POS. And Yeah, the most expensive car in my school lot is probably a 7.3 f350. or maybe a chrysler 300, IDK.
i bought my first car when I was15, I was working but I was also drawing SS from my father who died when I was 6. My first car was a 62 Impala, all together I have owned at least 50 cars. Even now in my 40's I get aggravated hearing these young kids brag about what their parents give them, but in a way I feel sorry for them too because one day mom and dad ain't gonna be there
to hand them everything and they won't have a clue how to survive.
I still work for everything I have, the only thing I ever had given to me was the house me and my wife live in,I inherited it in place of my father from my grandparents, it's not much to look at but it's a roof over our heads and to me it's home.
Anything I do to my GTP comes from extra money out of the paycheck, I actually had some put back that I was getting ready to order overlay decals, the 4 piece grills, and some projector headlights w/ hids, but I got a call today for the balance of a little over $1,000 on my mom's headstone so the GTP will have to wait.
These kids that get it all handed to them and don't appreciate it and complain all the time about their parents, they need to stop and think, one day they may be putting their favorite things on hold while the stone is being etched.
heard two guys talking today in school (a year younger than me) saying how he invested $5k in some company and it just went under, oh well his dad is giving him more to invest.
kid at my school got a brand new evo (2010) then over the course of the year had all AMS parts put on it. then proceeded to roll it at graduation trying to show off
Let's read a little bit. I said I don't care that they get shi^t handed to them. What pisses me off is when they shove it in your face and call your vehical a POS. I could have had mom and dad HELP buy me a car, but instead I bought my GP for $350 from my aunt because it didn't run and my cousin recked it. I didn't have to buy it. But I wanted something I could call mine, and with a little bit of work, she runs good as new.
im 17 and i bought my car and pay for gas and insurance and parts and everything. its my third vehicle cuz my first one $hit out on me and my dad kinda took over my truck after he totaled his and just gave me money for it. meanwhile my parents just bought my sister her first car they pay for her gas and insurance. Does this make sense to anone at all? Or am i just a f*** tard
How about you read your own thread title..........
Wow Congrats, you bought a $350 piece of junk instead of being gracious and accepting your parents help in buying a car. You want a cookie, or a trophy?
You realize you're JUST as bad as the rich kid who brags about the 5 series mom and dad just bought him. Except you have a chip on your shoulder about buying a junker for a few hundred bucks.

I do take pride it just kinda torques me off that my sister gets everything handed to her. And my dad said if i wanted to drive i would find a way to get a car
Like the two high school kids from around here.
One got an '07 427 Stanger and was out doing burnouts and stupid **** the weekend after he got it. This kid is 17.
Another got a brand new '12 GT Stanger and was tear around town after he got it. This kid is only 16, and probably one of the worst drivers ever.
Prom night was saturday so they were both out tearing their **** up this past weekend.
Both I know for a fact their parents bought them. They wreck it... no big deal they will buy them another.
These people are the ones that bug me, no respect for what is given to you.
Simply, the fact that people who DO pay for their own stuff feel they deserve praise for doing so. You're a grown ass man/woman, of COURSE you should be buying your own car!!! Who the hell is someone to judge someone else though? I know a fair share of kids who have had things handed to them, and they still work their ass off, they are still responsible young adults.
You say a "sense of entitlement" is what's wrong with the youth these days.... I'll agree, and take it one step further. I say, the need for today's youth to be praised for doing the regular, right thing is out of hand, and contributes greatly to the downfall of this country.
Thats not what the OP was saying.....quite the contrary, in fact. He was talking about the people that rub their parent bought cars in his face.
This, I agree with completely. You should'nt look for a reward for doing the right thing, you should look for a punishment for doing the wrong thing.
