    I would have expected this many tickets if I were being a dick to him, but I was not. I was pissed but talking to him was normal. He was being a cocky basterd. The thing, a second officer had to show up also lol. And I can see them talking to each other saying, "Zero Oh Zero Oh Zero" lol

    The only way to really get away with tint is to go to a doctor and have them write you up saying that you need to have tint because of your skins sensitivity to UV and/or harsh light. You can also do this with seat belt laws also by saying you can't wear one for medical reasons. The only problem is finding a doctor that will actually write it up or sign the forms for you.
    Thats not the way they do it up there, I fought multiple tickets there.
    There is a medical exception for tint, but like you said the issue is finding a doctor.

    Maybe you should try calling? But I guess some states MIGHT not have them. But they also could be called something different. OR if you live in the sticks I can see how you might not have one.

    Not trying to start a seatbelt rant here but if I don't wanna wear it and I am the only person in my car I don't see the issue. I don't need you or the police telling me I HAVE to wear a seat belt. You will say "If you don't wear it you are stupid" To that all I have to say is this: If you are in a hospital you can refuse any life saving devices you want and it's not against the law. I also don't see people getting fines for jumping out of airplanes or doing other stuff that is not exactly "Safe". If you say you could hurt other people by not wearing a seat belt, show me the stats of projectile humans in car accidents causing fatal injuries to others.

    If I were you I would call and see about a hearing officer or something along those lines. If they don't know what you are talking about or can't help you then take it to court without a lawyer. You might have to pay court costs if you lose though.

    tinted windshield is the dumbest thing you can do next to tinted headlights w/ halogens. ur gonna get into a fender bender one day and this will cause a lot of problems.

    I really like the way it looks, I saw it on a car commercial one time and said FTW. I installed new headlights on my car, so these are not tinted.

    I got pulled over w/tinted tailights, lic plate cover, tinted windows....I took it all off and kept it that way. Now I just need to get some retros for my headlights cuz hids in stock housings are blinding everyone. 7 tix suck man, that's alot of $ to come up with. But, hopefully lesson learned and keep it legal from now on. Btw, did u know the cop told me that even the dealer lic plate rings are illegal? I was like wtf...really? And he also mentioned that if u have tinted taillights and someone rearends you ur fault or not, u can actually be sued if it led up to it? Automatically at fault! I smh at all these ppl tinting their tails now.

    the funny part of this thread is that you deserve all of those tickets for being a smarty pants.

    the other funny thing is that ive gotten ONE speeding ticket that costs more than half of all of those combined. who's more awesome now?

    And people wonder why I don't have flashy crap on my car, loud car, and dark ass limo tint.

    I don't like Cops, and I don't wanna give them a reason to pull me over. I like staying under the radar, and if that means I have a basically plain car that blends in with traffic, so be it.

    Here's my take on it.
    The windshield tint...I can see having it, I sometimes wish I did. But keep it light, 50% or 35% but most definitely no darker than that.
    Tint on the windows, well I always think that's petty. It's my windows gtfo. But if you're being an ass with 5% or something ridiculous wellllll then maybe you deserve it.
    You just moved, he should forgive the registration or whatever.
    You should have had your license on you...just simple. BUT if you know your license # hes should've let it slide as well.
    License plate cover...well, I'm not a fan. If you couldn't see your tag, you deserve it. If you could see the dag and it was clear or whatever, well then I blame the cop.

    Lastly, speeding. You were what, 10 over or so? 75 in a 65? It's the interstate. Let it go. I passed a sheriff coming back from KCGP doing 7 over. Everyone was doing 7 over. If you were 20 over or some mess then sure you deserve it. If not, no traffic, 10 over, he's b.s.ing you.

    As said, even a clear plate cover is illegal in a lot of places. The plate cover isnt to protect your plate, its to obscure the view.

    I once passed a cop going 74 in a 55. It was dark out and I didn't see the lights until it was to late. Got a ticket for 5 over... that cop was cool. Cop that gave you 7 tickets... is obviously compensating for a small gun.. =)

    This thread is great!

    Take your front tint off! Alaska is a ZERO front tint 37% rear state.

    I paid a lawer a couple grand to get a willful wreckless dropped (I never went to court since I got it right before I left, the lawyer took care of it). On a plea, I was only able to get it down to negligent.

    Fix yo **** and watch yourself up there. Cops in Alaska are shady ****s and with no entrapment laws, they can pretty much do whatever they want.

    Don't forget, cops up there have nothing better to do, but enforce stupid ass vehicle laws when they aren't hunting bears.

    Yea, I know the windshield is completely illegal but the Driver passenger window limit is 70% which is almost pointless and the rear windows are 40% limit. Looks like I will be saving some gas for the next few months.

    This is the way its been written since 1994..
    (2) the windows immediately to the driver's right and left
    may have tinting material that permits at least 70 percent light
    transmittance;
    (3) the rear door windows, quarter glasses, and back glasses
    may have tinting material that permits at least 40 percent light
    transmittance;

    70 front 40 back, always been that way..
