on the other side as weird as it is my GTP is 153K was 151K when I got it and a couple of issues to fix when I got and since then its been pretty solid. even been able to throw some mods on it lol

Not really (at least what people overexaggerate here) , i mean theres proly some knocking retards in there but i dont notice it. looking to get rockers and rods when money comes in. Car runs great though i havent run it hard in months bc of my trans seeping metal flakes(death card). idk im gona get it dyno in the next few months. I have some test and numbers i want to get for it. Im finally getting her back today with a new trans![]()

I'd get a way to scan bruh. That's like havin a 3.2 puley on a gen 3. I'd bet ur gettin upwards of 8+ degrees of KR. Each degree is taking away 5 HP. Not to mention the risk of droppin a piston in ur oil pan. U should def invest in a aeroforce gauge.

I didnt think I was knocking on my 3.4 on my Gen 3 before my headers, because "it ran so damn good"
Well turns out I was grabbing 4-5degrees at WOT.
Headers, and colder plugs later, no knock at all.
But you'd be way way better getting it scanned, and staying off the throttle, then going knock knock knock BAM..
There's a sticky on kR in one of the sections. Lots of good info. But basically KR is when ur fuel ignites before its supposed to due to really high internal temps created by excessive boost in ur caseit usually occurs under heavy throttle. KR is the worst thing u can have in our cars. The preignition of fuel in ur cylinder can cause massive damage. I.E. Blowing ur pistons into pieces. Ur car does have a knock sensor which will cut timing when KR is detected but that doesn't mean ur safe. U have currently have mods to run a 3.6 safely. Just tryin to look out. I've shattered 3 pistons in the past due to KR. Trust me its no fun!
so what do you suggest bc others have the same set up i do???? and if you say intercooler really think about it i just dropped 2400 for a trans dont exactly have money for an intercooler. not to mention ive been running 40k miles now with the upgrades no issues

im not trying to be a d*** i do appreciate the concern and input but yall always make it sound like ima blow up my engine and i have no idea what im doing. I know all about the knocking retards, the coil theory is going to be tested. I consider it a theory bc no one can generate #s of proof(not saying you all are wrong) but i like to see things with me own eyes
I think the guy is fine on his 3.4 setup...you using AL 605s? or 104's?

3.4" on a GenV is a 3.2" area on a GenIII...
So, good luck with just headers.
