well it is a gp site lol
LT1s are fine for their time and at least you know its major faults when you buy the car. But I'd rather skip the machismo and go with a LT1 FireHawk or Formula.
No offense to LT1 Camaro owners, but I still remember when I saw the first 93/94 cars locally. I also remember calling them stretched Geo Storms. I was young.

this. i have a really deep brand loyalty to gm, and i've been looking around and seeing how the new mustang looks better than the camaro (even though the back ends on both are hideous) and how nice even the new taurus looks. the only thing i like coming out of gm is the cobalt ss, and they're getting rid of that soon.
as for the poll, i'm probably gonna go firebird, just because i'm in the mood for something new/fun. i've been driving the gp a lot lately, and i just think it would be fun to get back into something rwd
colbalt is already gone, the cruze is being maufactured now
is it really? i haven't been able to watch tv lately. or read. or do anything but work.
yep the plant that manufactures them is just outside my home city and they have hundreds of them lined up ready to go to dealerships
the only better thing than owning a trans-am is beating a trans-am with a front wheel drive family car.
p.s- you need more than a 3.4 pulley
I would.love to have an 02 WS6 Ram air, But I am also an old school guy, so I would take a 69'TA , maybe a 73' or 74' . I had an 81' non turbo ,403 olds , tricked out trans and some other goodies and it used to eat LT1' s . TA 's are more fun .....![]()
JERK , jk thanks for ruining it for me, I've never seen one of those before and omg wow

I would want the gtp over the lt1 not a fan of that motor really
Why do people hate the lt1? throw on a LS1 computer system and coils and It takes away any problem wrong with that engine.
the optispark is good to 6500rpm. anything after that they die, unless your running 700hp or more then theres so reason to say the lt1 is trash.
its a better small block with less aftermarket.
think what you will
well sh** i voted before i read the first post all the way through. if i wouldve known the ta was gunna be stock i wouldve voted for the pulleyed gtp and even more so since its a stock lt1. im an ls fan through and through, way more performance options out there for the ls's and just seems to be more responsive over the lt
