ok guys what would you rather have a 3.4 pullied GTp w/ supporting mots or a Stock LT1 trans am. just curious
|
My vote is a properly built up cammed gtp over a trans am lt1 BUT since my cars dead and trans am is where im heading I voted that way
Um its a better motor, you'd be stupid not to go for the LS1.
I'd rather have a turbo 3800 F body than an LT1 but i'd rather an LS1 F body over either.
Oh and GTP is dead last.
GTP and DEAD not funny man lol
id say l67 over lt1. but if ls1 vs. l67 you have to be retarded to pick the gp.
if you factor in insurance for the car though l67 wins. probly not true for everyone, but id be paying an arm and a leg... and my yoohoo.
I truely dont get the hate for the lt1 Its a great engine when you know its flaws
Dont **** with the optispark plan tuneups around a weekend lol
Ive had them in my caprice and my ta its a solid engine that can put you into the 12's cheap and easy
The ls1 is a better engine yes BUT for instence theres a 95 firehawk 69k/m6 for a little over 3k
theres also a ls1 engine on a stand for 2500 and you dont even get the stand
and its got over 100k on it
LT1 for sure, pumped a 200 powershot through mine numerous times with a high comp 383/solid roller set up, ran consistent low 10's all day (full suspension/slicks/race gas).

RWD manual V8 = win....+ 1 for the LT1
camaro, firebird, trans am, mustangs....everyone hops on the same band wagon and wants to be a badass..so you have one and they run 11's..big deal so do 1000+ other kids in your area. id rather drive a GTP that is a straight sleeper and is dif...and before you all start whining like lil beutches, let me remind you that this is a GRAND PRIX FORUM so my answer should be expected L67>LT1
if its 3.4 setup gp vs stock lt1 f body for same price id go with the gp
YouTube - 1996 Ram Air Trans Am - Blackbird - tv commercial
i dont care what the haters say its a sexy ass car
LT1 is a good motor, and easy to mod but I hate the 93-97 firebirds. If I were to get an LT1 id deff be in a camaro. But you cant beat that s/c whine....
