Probably already mentioned...but...you know you drive a 97 GP when:

Any formatted disk other than original CD is inserted into the factory stereo and get an error code...

Under the assumption that the rocker panels on the doors and the car is the actual part of the car.....until you take it in and see that it's rusted through...

Cussing out GM for the fact that they used plastic plenums and front wheel drives to cut corners....and wished that they dropped in a 5 speed to make up for they screw ups

Take it in to the auto body repair shop to have the bodywork professionally done (removing rust and fixing all problematic areas) and the first thing they say is "we'll give you 100 dollars to sell it to us..."

Get pulled over and Mr. Officer can't distinguish the difference between a GP and Grand Am....especially when GP is visible on the trunk lid

When you go to Carquest to get some parts to swap out a piston and the guy behind the counter goes "isn't that a common problem with those cars?"

When you spin through 1st gear at the track because it refuses to hook.

Or you put rockers and a shift kit on and only improve your PB from 14.157 @ 97 to 14.123 @ 98....UGH!
