exactly, if the spark plug is wet the injector works and the plugs not lighting up and causing the misfire.

you do understand how a engine runs right? the injector sprays gas in the cylinder, the spark plug sparks and it blows up inside the cylinder, no spark = wet plug. if its not soaking wet, it will stink of raw gas.

best to run it for a minute, then pull that plug out.

i had a lower than average iq moment and completely forgot about the other end that screws onto the engine. I kept thinking"how could the ceramic part of the spark plug get gas on it"..ive been having these moments too frequently this last week. ill be checking that and swapping the coils.

yes i never found the other plug that mated to that little blue one near the air box i looked all over the axle. I did notice that the gp at the yard also had it unplugged when all the ones around it were still plug in, couldve been a coincidence.

The car drives so nice, i drove it about 4 miles around my house, this hasnt settled in yet. I cant thank you guys enough.

no problem. this site is always good for a helping hand.

we all have stray plugs in the bay that go to nothing. so that maybe the case.

glad to hear shes up and running. well worth saving that grand on labor, i bet your only 300 deep out of pocket at this point due to ripping your axles apart and junk yard runs for little parts. minus the cost of the new engine and tranny of course.

the thought of not paying a shop is always on my mind, i hate handing over cash for stuff i can do myself. at this point my only shop time is alignments. cause i just cant do one at home lol been that way since the 80's. unless the car had a warranty still, then i let the dealer deal with it for free. cause its free. i dont like them monkeys touching my stuff really, but its free.

Thanks for tackling this steelholder and scottydoggs for being there for troubleshooting. Followed from the beginning. I have never pulled an engine or tranny but with the help here I feel it's very do-able. I do all my fixing and maintaining on cars and like Scotty hate paying others to do stuff. Luckily never had to go that deep. I probably should have played with my old 2000 GP with 330K on it when it froze up, my guess now is it hydro locked but everything was used up on that, body, original struts and interior only an SE also. I have 2 daughters driving GP's now that are both supercharged an 07 and an 03 with 168k and 200 k respectively. Kind of jealous I don't get to drive them more. The are a blast to drive.

    Thanks again for the education.

make sure theres pressure in the fuel rail. turn the key to run, then push the pin in. its under the black cap.

Something sensor related, seems like fuel pressure is fine.
