Supporting mods for cam?

Let's say I went with the XP cam. What rpm should I shoot for? Is it just a matter of how much I want to spend on springs, pushrods, etc? Or will I need other supporting mods aside from them? I know there's more benifit to running such high rpms, but it must cause a lot more stress. So should I shoot for 6200ish rpm with just the 90#ers and retainers for example?

Currently I'm just going off of zzp's recommendation for the XP for supporting mods

I have a thread about this when i was doing my cam install. Basicly to get the most out fo the xp cam yes you would want to run with most of zzps recommendations. 140 springs, tit mod retainers, machined roller master, machined oil pump cover, viton valve seals, 60 # injectors. As said because the xp cam is a high rev cam you will see most its gains at 6000-6400 rpm so you need to correct supporting mods to raise your shift points that high. But some do run it with 105s and a stock chain but imo stock chain is belongs in a car grandma drives on sunday. But if you went that route you would have to lower your shift points and raise your idle. I just couldnt see going threw the trouble of installing a cam and half asses it so i went all out. Rods and lifters and stay stock.

I might be willing to sell everything i just purchased for the swap from zzp cheaper than they sell it for because i have run into some financial issues and dont know when ill be able to install them anyway. I have everything you need besides gaskets that can be purchased at any auto parts store. I spent around 1300 and have the receipts. Plus i had the crank gear professionally machined so you can run it no problem. I would probly take 1000 for everything.


Oh also i just noticed your car is an 07. You cannot tune the 07 pcms really. I think will is one of the only ones that may be able to or you can run an 04-05 pcm but i believe your speedo or something will run backwards.
