Just wanted to reach out a bit. I'm new to the forum but I've got an extensive background in auto parts and I have access to alot of different lookups and interchanges, etc. I've worked in parts for the past 8 1/2 years and have my ASE as a parts pro as well as a degree in automotive. So if you're local parts guy is giving you the wrong stuff or the runaround, I'd be more than happy to help.

Not sure, I used my old Seat belt and it clips right into the newer latch, different colors, but I gives no cares cause they are so comfy.

I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP and the rear lock assembly needs to be replaced. I went to RockAuto, Autozone, Advance and other places and they all tell me to use the rear door lock actuators Dorman part #746017 & 746011

But when I pull apart the door and see what I'm dealing with I see GM part #15813547 (not sure if the other side has different number) which costs like $200 each and I need two. smh Can you tell me if I can find another car/manufacturer that uses/makes the same part so I can find it at a lower price?

Also, I'm told there was a GM technical bulletin that talked about the door lock actuator intermittently recycling the rear locks. This led to a second design for the unit. It looks like I have the first design and all of the aftermarket dealers are selling the later design.

    Thanks for your help.
