Hey everyone, I'd like to see if there is any new information regarding this issue. The latest credible posts I have seen are years old and I'm not sure if there have been any new solutions since then as far as the CAT diagnostic on 04+ vehicles.

    Latest information I have found:

    O2 simulators do not work.

One "solution" is do disable CEL but leave the code active, emissions test fails but no annoying light.

Another "solution" is to disable the code, but CAT diagnostic runs continuously, harming fuel economy.

Another "solution" is to disable the code, and run car in open loop to circumvent the fuel consumption of the diagnostic test.

Are there any other options now for handling this?

IIRC Tiny Tuner can disable the cat diagnostic. I have mine set to no-mil ...the test just runs once for me and done.

I can disable it 05+ but not 04 itself. I was running my 04 CompG on an 05 PCM for a while. But the real solution is to just keep the rear O2 in place.
