Started playing around this morning (74F) with the real-time KR monitoring on my laptop, and the only time I saw KR on the line graph was small amounts in quick spikes when it shifts. Like a 2.8deg spike at a WOT 5500rpm 1-2 shift and low 1.x deg spike at a non WOT 4000rpm 2-3 shift.

I plan on logging to a table to get a baseline before I do some work this loong weekend, but data is useless if the sampling method is wrong.

So how should I be driving to scan? Just a WOT to 100mph or what?

The correct answer is drive like you would drive if you were getting beat by a Prius and need to catch up through traffic. LOL

Personally, when scanning for KR, I like to gradually increase how rapidly I hit the gas. If I gently roll into full throttle, and get KR, I know my tune needs some work before I romp on it. If I get 0 KR, then I'll more aggressively apply throttle to get the KR to rear it's ugly head.

This!! dont just go wot and risk damaging something... work up to it slowly. also but rolling into the throttle and some data from a roll and from a stop will allow you to get more data and better info on what is common for all instances of KR.

if the Kr is during a shift only it could be a worn engine mount or sway bar...

My mounts are definitely shot, and I had thought maybe it was false knock. I have new solid mounts and a new gmpp rear + Dorman front sways... sitting in the garage waiting to be installed tomorrow

I was trying to find a baseline for my KR to see any changes as I start to mod. Other than the spike at shift, it seems I had pretty much zero KR while stock. Just put on headers today, and AL605s which shouldn't add any KR.

So I have headers, HAI, AL605s, and new solid lower mounts.

As you can see in the screenshot, I get 1-2deg of KR at 5000-5500rpm right before the 1-2 shift.

Any further insight would be appreciated.

EDIT: Pic looks like crap after upload. Blue is GEAR (1-4) Green is RPM (0-6k) Red is KR (0-6deg)

Add fuel above 5000 rpm or lower timing a degree.
