    Two weeks ago i took my car to the local track on a test and tune night car made 280 whp on a 3.4 gen v,n*, and port work. I could not get the car to hook up at all off the line i was spinning almost all the way through first. My best 60 foot time was a 2.23 and ran the quarter in 14.7 @ 95. I read on zzp site and heard a few people talk about launching in second do i program my trans to stay in second by the shift tables or how would i do that?

    Why not get better tires or work on your launch?

    I have a set of nitto nt555r coming in just wondering if the second gear launch would change ne thing?? I am trying to work on my launch just making sure there isnt something more i should be doing.

    second gear launch would be bad.
    start in first...you dont even need to heat up the tires if you are on street tires.
    try learning how to control your tire spin.

    Yeah the second gear thing made me think i would be slower too well i will try a few different ways to get off the line i will see what happens this friday maybe if i baby it and really ease into the throttle i can improve my sixty foot time

    it says you have a 3.4 on a gen v what other mods are there to go with that?
    2.4Pulley, Ngk Tr7 plugs, Self tune, Methanol injection
    23.5 deg timing gen v,78mm billet tb , Poly dog mounts, Sd headers
    Zzp s2 intercooler ,UD wp pulley,is2cam,130# springs modded retainers
    P&P heads and lim built trans 3.29 gears harden parts 2500 stall shift kit

    No knock i scanned it it has sd headers also no cat factory cat back, custom air box 42.5 injectors, xp cam 105 springs, oh should probably mention the elevation here is above five thousand feet

    Something in that short equation is off.

    I ran 13.4 at 104 with my old 3.4 gen 3 setup only rockers ported blower and headers thats all. So something def dont seem right

    I am going to have to take a finer look at my scan and see whats going on cuz i figured i would be quicker than i am and it is dissapointing to say the least i figured i should be at least high thirteens i will check in to the tune and see if i can do better this friday there is another test and tune night and maybe i will have these drag radials in by then. It just seams like it screams in first then loses a lil momentum when it hits second hesitates for a second then screams again idk

    that and his times are going to be slower because elevation plays a HUGE factor in his times.

    Oh that would be nice... my new setup is 1.84's, SD Headers, HAI & hoping a 3.4 looking for 13.6 @ 102 but not too sure that is doable. That is a great trap you have for a 3.4!
