This is my old tune, so I know my LTFT's are whack... but here is the maiden scan of my L26 topswap.

So, since the last scan... I made a MAF table adjustment... and did my first WOT scan.

    See Rows 2758 - 2850
lunch_1 from lawngoose -- Scan Depot dot net

So, I think I need to continue tweaking my MAF table in the upper HZ range.

What I DO want to address is my part throttle knock. I know I can change timing to address it... but I think that tweaking my MAF might take care of it first.

    See Rows 2250-2340
lunch_2 from lawngoose -- Scan Depot dot net

Looking at my o2's ... I think fueling is causing the issue.

Any thoughts, tips, advice, or free money?

Looks alot better. What changes did you do. Id pull 1-1.5 percent fuel from 4K-7K and .5-1 percent from 2000-4K. Id also start to bump back up your WOT timing, try 15-16 Your o2's are where they need to be WOT. When you bump up the timing it will lean slightly DID you lower PE? looks like its going PE@30percent still

The only changes I made was a slight scale to the MAF table via Eddie's Table Modifier. I still get knock... so I am thinking that I need to richen the lower part of the MAF table.

Now the debate... Many ppl will say to tune your LTFT's to - values. The reason being that you are running rich and the pcm is removing fuel. The other end of the argument is to tune your trims + .. so the pcm is adding fuel. However, if you adding fuel... your already running to lean right?

Im going to do another scan tomorrow morning (when temps are colder) to see what happens on another MAF adjustment. However, I do have a question.. if my fuel trims are + and I wanted to manually adjust the table to make them - ...wouldnt I reduce the table values??

I have virtually no knowledge about timing changes...other than using eddie's tool to change timing on WOT runs when you get KR.... so any info is appreciated.

Your LFT's are Negative Around -4 to -5 during your cruise. What makes you think you need to add fuel?

Pulling fuel at WOT (negative valve) is something you DO not want.

I see Negative LFT's (Cruise.) Going off your last scan. Do not take into consideration the Plus 8 you see on deceleration or the Plus 3 to 6 you see at idle

Im not sure on DHP but on HPT its in the last table line on the spark table

According to the DHP Tuning Bible aka Jerry's Notebook....
Please note, we are always going for trims lightly in the negatives or 0, but never into the positives. This means that the PCM is adding fuel because our settings are making it go too lean. Better to be slightly rich than lean.

I use a table modifier prog... that basically removes all decel fuel cells... and averages all the fuel trims (at least that is how I have mine set). Looking at the output on this file (I emailed it to you with SUBJ line: More BS) ... my Lower MAF hz (im sorry i put higher on my previous post) are + when my higher hz range is -. Using the logic from the tuner notebook... I want trims slightly -. I can post it in the thread if anyone wants me too.

I don't care about idle and decel fuel cells.

So, this isn't meant to point fingers or say someone is wrong.. or compare e-cocks. This is how I learned to tune... whether its right or wrong, I definitely want to know. I enjoy talking about tuning, and finding out what others are doing. I am no pro by any means.... just seeking knowledge

I disagree with that statement. Id rather have a PCM adding fuel blindly off a narrowband readout then pulling fuel blindly. Esp under WOT conditions

You would know better of what your trims are doing. I was looking from just two scans. The goal is +3 to -3. Cruise IMO doesn't make a difference of plus or minus if your in that range LFT's should lock at 0 WOT. WOT is another story. A average of trims isnt a good idea IMO as you can be lean in one section of the HZ and rich in the other. But as I said I have no experience with Tiny tuner/table mod program. Alot of people use them. I just use histograms

Thats what I was saying. Decel cells do not effect PE locking
