How do I perform a CASE learn for my new PCM? Or where do I go to get it done???

Found this using google. This what Mr. Intense has to say,
Just visit any dealership (or anyone else with a Tech II or Snap-On scanner). Ask them to perform the Crankshaft Position Variation Learn procedure. If they aren't sure what that is, suggest to them that they follow the procedure for DTC 1336 - Crankshaft Position (CKP) System Variation Not Learned. It only takes a couple minutes.
Be sure to request 'DO NOT REFLASH the PCM'. If they misinterpret what you want and reflash the PCM instead of relearning it, all your new code will be lost forever.
yeah dealer also robs you $150 to do the case learn, what a joke.
Anyone with a Powrtuner, HPTuner, or a newer Aeroforce gauge can do it for you.
An Aeroforce gauge can do it too??? I am thinkin about getting one. Are they worth the money? Is there crappy copys that I could mistakingly buy, I dont wanna wate my money, But I am always out for the best deal.....
I bought mine straight from Aeroforce so I could get a custom startup logo. As long as its a newer gauge (V2.0 and later, I think) it will have the option for a CASE learn.
I've had mine about a year and love it.
I'm curious as to what the case learn is. Is it required everytime when the pcm is removed?
How exactly do you do it with the Aeroforce I have tried it a few ways and does not seem to work. When it says Press Bake do you hold the brake for the rest of the time or just till you continue and when it says to brng to 4 to 5 thousand rpm do you let it bounce off the Limiter or stay right below and then it says turn off the car is there a part after you start it again because My Aeroforce is hooked to turn on and off with car so it shuts off when I shut the car off
I don't know about the Aeroforce, but with my PowrTuner... you press and hold brake the entire time... then it tells me to go WOT and when I bounce off the rev limiter... it tells me successful or not.
Also you have to be at your normal operating temp.
I was not at normal Opperating Temp mabey that is why. I will try that tommorow and see. Does it matter I have not put in the 180 Tstat yet so it is stock??
Ok will try it tommorow at opperating temp
Yep still got nothing tried it at opperating Temp and the Light and code will not go away. It says bring it up to 4k to 5k over 4 to 5 seconds and then when it hits the rev limiter to let it idol. That is what I tried and should it to something after is there a way to tell if it worked???
ya, drive it, lol. go for a lap and see if it set's off any code's or the alarm....
when I did mine, when it was all finished it ran a little rough for about a minute, but once it got a reading from all the sensors and such it ran great. So if your programmer didnt say anything about it being succesfull or not, I would just run it and see.
