Hey everyone, I finally completed my mods with the overkill pcm. I have driven it for the past few days because the weather has been warmer. I usually don't drive it in the winter but wanted to see how it performed. I am very pleased with the performance I now have. What a difference from when I first joined this site. I have read many of the links and have taken suggestions from many. I have learned much from you guys! The overkill pcm is great. I still need to get a scan and plan on doing that in may when the weather is better. I have one concern that maybe someone knows something about before I contact will at Overkill. Like i said, the performance aspect of the pcm is great, but now my cruise control will not work properly. It will engage, but only for a short time before it disengages.( about 45 sec.) Has anyone had or heard of this problem? Is the pcm still trying to get used to my car, or is there something within the pcm settings that might be tripping the cruise control? I just wanted to throw this out to the forum before I contact Will. Thanks ahead for your help.

I'm going to put the stock pcm back in to check and make sure that the pcm is or isn't the problem first

Also, if it does it with your stock pcm, check your brake lights to make sure they are all working. Don't ask, but they have something to do with it. LOL

update: I put the stock pcm back in and drove for 1 hour with cruise having no issues. This means that a setting on the overkill pcm is triggering the cruise to shut down. Has anyone had this problem with their overkill pcm? I have e-mailed will and am waiting for his reply.

so did you ever get this solved? i do plan on getting an overkill pcm in the future (next week, next year, who knows) but having no cruise control would definetely change my mind on that purchase.....

I have sent my overkill pcm back to will and he has been great about figuring out what the problem was. He actually brought his old 04 comp g into the shop to simulate the problem I was having. Turns out it was a simple fix. Will has been great about responding to my e-mails. Although he is super busy, he has addressed the problem and offered to fix it and cover all shipping involved. I love the difference in how my car performs and wills pcm programing is the key. I am running a 3.4 pulley, and only get 3 degrees of kr running wide open just before shift change. only 1 degree constant wide open throttle. I think that's good. I definitely would order from Overkill motor sports.

thats pretty good for a 3.4 with plog and downpipe.

how much does it come out to in the end if you keep your stock pcm with shipping and all??
