Hey guys I'm just curious what I should set my shift rpm at. Currently it's at 5700 which means it actually shift more around 5900 at wot. I have a stock cam but have l76 springs and yella terra 1.9 rr. I'm assuming it's bad for the trans to shift at higher rpm to right? Thanks!

Higher rpm doesn't hurt the trans, as long as it's not pumping the pan dry.

Shifting at 5900 on rockers and l76 springs, sounds about right. If you are getting valve float, you can decrease it some. But other wise, I would leave it.

    Agreed, just leave it be.

No real need to go higher or lower at this time.

Ok, i wasn't sure if the rockers made good power at a little higher rpm, but thank you I will just leave it be ☺

You are limited by your camshaft, not the rockers for power.

The stock cam is already out of power at 5,600-5,700.

I just thought rockers made good power at the higher rpms but I don't really know to much that's just what I was told.

while you can turn the shift point up, ive done it, and turned em back down to 5700 i think, cause its dead rpms no power is being made past that.

at the track i shifted into 3 rd at the finish line @ 97 mph. if it had shifted sooner, i think i would have done better then a crappy 14.3.

Rockers do give you a little more rpm up top, hence why I recommend to shift it at 5900.
