So rolling out the neighborhood this morning I see this and think, damn that sucks hope he's got insurance and notice that there are only 2 bricks holding this thing up. This is about the 5th time in the last few years someone has gotten their wheels jacked. Most of them have been GM trucks with stock chrome 20's my buddies Tahoe got hit and they left his Yukon up on 3 stone pieces, one under each front control arm and one under the rear diff. This one though?!?

PThe cops say it's a group that travels and hits neighborhoods and they steal stock wheels. If you have aftermarket wheels or an older car you're pretty much safe. Worried about the Wife's car she has 18" wheels, mine are beat to hell so I'm not so worried about them. I do have 2 driveway motion sensors and loaded up a 30 round Pmag with M855's and 55 grainers in my 6920 although I'm thinking about setting up my Sub 2K with 35 rounds of 147 grain JHP's a
fter Saturdays outing. I'm going to light them up if I catch them. the neighborhood is good these people come in from outside.

25 yards with pistol center mass and 10 rounds with the Sub for the headshots, I am not playing around.

That's a damn shame didn't think folks still stole wheel especially considering how cheap they can be.. I guess parking closer to the house and being more observant could of stopped this.

So you're gonna shoot them in the head for wheels? Dunno man, seems extreme. Nobody likes to get their chit jacked but maybe just yell and fire a warming shot, get them on the ground and let the law take over. Its one thing to protect your family, insurance will cover the wheels sheesh.

It wouldn't matter if you were carrying a parade rifle as long as you were screaming and advancing. Bayonet fixed just in case, ha. What wheel jackin punk has heat? LOL

There are no warning shots you are either protecting your property or your letting them go. When seconds count cops are 20 minutes away. Besides this is a ring, they carry guns as well. This may be where you and I will have to agree to disagree. I don't have full coverage only car yet since I would have to pay $700 prorated fee to get it covered for the next month. They know the risk, yet they still take the chance? They better pray they either I don't catch them and I pray they don't show up. I don't want to, but I will not stand by and let someone take what I have worked so hard to get even as meager as it might be.

Err I pretty much live in Houston. I'm in a suburb of Houston. It is them damn Mexicans it's a group of them we have one guy that posted a video. It's pretty sneaky a couple come up and loosen the lugs, then another couple come in and Jack the car up then the last time all 4 and a driver pull up, pull the wheels and set the car down while the other 2 load up the wheels and the last 2 run the jacks back to the truck. It's a stolen truck by the way.

Gun laws are unique in TX. In ANY neighborhood, metal jacket is a no-no to me cuz penetration. #8 shot in a short 12 is about as hot as I would ever dare. Wound is plenty bad to stop and kills later. Rather pass on a clean thief shot than lose a stray one in a bad place! Alas, our local gang unit has been resurrected due to current outsider issues.

I've givin that thought as I have a 2 story house our bedroom overlooks the driveway and from that angle any misses will be destroyed by the impact. The 9mm using 147 gr travel at 1000 fps out of the 16" barrel last time I chronographed them and at that angle they would also be destroyed on impact. #8 at that distance is perfect too, small pattern about 4" in diameter.

Why? I firmly believe anyone caught on my property trying to steal deserves a unwarned shot to the head or genitals. I kind of lean towards genitals because the guy would live the rest of his life pissing out a nub tube.

but if someone really wants the wheels it's a marginal slow down at best.
